I'm not sure if everyone else likes to travel in complete silence, but I enjoy when my bus/train operator is in a talkative mood. Always fun when they give news, weather, fun statistics, or anything else.
But usually it is dry, quiet and boring on trains, so I guess what I am saying is: thanks you rare happy guy or gal. You make the ride a little more bearable.
