@trimet trains are poorly maintained. They break down fairly frequently. Were I most industries I would be in trouble. Their MTBF (mean time between failure) level is pretty unacceptable given their increases in fare every year.
But when you are the only game in town you can have crappy service. I mean, who is going to threaten your turf?
